Job summary

H&R Block is seeking a seasonal Experienced Tax Professional to prepare accurate returns for individuals and businesses. You will interview clients to understand their finances, identify tax implications, and provide personalized recommendations to maximize savings.

In this in-person role, you’ll deliver empathetic, consultative service and build lasting client relationships while following IRS/state requirements and ongoing training.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience in tax prep, accounting, or bookkeeping
• Strong verbal and written communication; able to explain tax concepts clearly
• Must complete continuing education and meet IRS/state requirements
• In-person, client-facing role in local H&R Block office

Responsibilities

• Prepare complete, accurate tax returns for diverse situations
• Conduct in-depth client interviews to understand finances and tax implications
• Provide tax-saving recommendations and cross-sell H&R Block products
• Offer IRS notice support, audit guidance, and resolution when needed
• Collaborate with team to maintain a positive client-focused office environment
