Job summary

H&R Block is seeking a seasonal Experienced Tax Professional to prepare returns for individuals and businesses, conduct client interviews, and offer personalized tax guidance. You will build lasting client relationships and uncover savings opportunities using our training and technology.

This role is in-person at a local H&R Block tax office. You will collaborate with teammates, deliver clear explanations of tax concepts, and complete required education to stay compliant.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of the H&R Block Tax Knowledge Assessment.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in tax preparation or related fields.
• Experience in a client-facing, consultative, or advisory role.
• Strong verbal and written communication; ability to explain tax concepts clearly.
• Must complete continuing education and meet IRS/state requirements.
• High school diploma or GED or equivalent required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare complete, accurate tax returns for individuals and businesses.
• Conduct in-depth client interviews to understand financial situations and implications.
• Provide personalized recommendations and identify tax savings opportunities.
• Offer IRS support, notices, and audit guidance as needed.
