Job summary

H&R Block is seeking a seasonal Experienced Tax Professional to prepare returns, interview clients, and identify savings opportunities with our training and technology support. This in-person role is based at a local H&R Block tax office.

You will build trusted client relationships, provide clear guidance, and work with a supportive team to deliver accurate tax services. A competitive hourly rate and incentive plan accompany the role.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of the H&R Block Tax Knowledge Assessment.
• Minimum 1 year of tax preparation or related experience.
• Experience in client-facing, consultative, or advisory role.
• Ability to explain tax concepts clearly to clients.
• Must complete continuing education and meet IRS/state requirements.

Responsibilities

• Prepare complete, accurate tax returns for diverse clients (individuals and business).
• Conduct client interviews to understand financial situations and tax implications.
• Provide recommendations and identify tax savings opportunities and product offerings.
• Provide IRS support, tax notice assistance, and audit guidance as needed.
• Collaborate with team to maintain a positive client-focused office environment.
