Job summary

H&R Block is seeking a seasonal Experienced Tax Professional to help clients navigate complex tax situations and deliver accurate returns. You will interview clients, identify tax savings opportunities, and build lasting relationships using our training and technology.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting/finance is preferred.
• CPA or Enrolled Agent credential is preferred.
• Experience in tax preparation and client-facing roles is required.
• Ability to explain tax concepts in client-friendly language and meet IRS/state requirements.

Responsibilities

• Prepare complete, accurate tax returns for clients with diverse and complex tax situations.
• Conduct in-depth client interviews to understand financial situations and tax implications.
• Provide clear, personalized recommendations and identify tax savings opportunities and Block products.
• Provide IRS notice support and audit guidance as needed.
• Collaborate with team members to maintain a positive, client-focused office environment.
