Job summary

H&R Block, Inc. is seeking a seasonal Experienced Tax Professional to prepare diverse tax returns and guide clients through complex tax situations. This in-person role emphasizes client interviews, personalized recommendations, and collaboration with a supportive team.

You'll leverage training and technology, earning an hourly rate with incentives based on impact and performance as you build tax expertise and client relationships.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of the H&R Block Tax Knowledge Assessment 1.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in tax preparation, accounting, finance, or bookkeeping.
• Experience in client-facing, consultative, or advisory role.
• Strong verbal and written communication; ability to explain tax concepts clearly.
• Must complete continuing education and meet IRS/state requirements.
• High school diploma or GED required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare complete, accurate tax returns for individuals and business clients.
• Conduct in-depth client interviews to assess financial situations and tax implications.
• Provide personalized tax savings recommendations and product guidance.
• Provide IRS support, notices, and audit guidance as needed.
• Collaborate with team and maintain a client-focused office environment.
