Job summary

H&R Block, Inc. is seeking a seasonal Experienced Tax Professional to join our in-person tax office. You will prepare complete and accurate returns for individuals and small businesses, interview clients to understand their financial situation, and deliver personalized tax advice with a consultative approach.

You’ll work with a supportive team, leverage leading training and technology, and participate in an incentive plan tied to your impact and growth in tax expertise.

Qualifications

• Successfully completed the H&R Block Tax Knowledge Assessment.
• 1+ year of tax preparation or related experience preparing individual and business returns.
• Client-facing, consultative or advisory experience; strong communication.
• Must complete continuing education and meet IRS/state requirements.

Responsibilities

• Prepare complete, accurate tax returns for individuals and businesses.
• Conduct in-depth client interviews to understand financial situations and implications.
• Provide personalized recommendations and identify tax savings opportunities.
• Offer IRS support, notice assistance, and audit guidance as needed.
• Collaborate with team and maintain a client-focused office environment.
