Job summary

H&R Block, a leading tax services provider, seeks a seasonal Experienced Tax Professional in Tacoma, WA. You will prepare complete, accurate tax returns for clients with diverse and complex tax situations, including individuals and businesses, while interviewing clients to tailor recommendations.

You'll build trusted relationships, identify tax savings opportunities, and provide IRS support and audit guidance as needed, all supported by our training, technology, and incentive plan that rewards

Qualifications

• Successful completion of the H&R Block Tax Knowledge Assessment
• Minimum 1 year of experience in tax preparation, accounting, finance, or bookkeeping (incl. individual and business returns)
• Experience in client-facing, consultative, or advisory role
• Strong verbal and written communication; ability to explain tax concepts clearly
• Must complete continuing education and meet IRS/state requirements
• High school diploma / GED / equivalent

Responsibilities

• Prepare complete, accurate tax returns for individuals and businesses
• Conduct in-depth client interviews to understand financial situations and tax implications
• Provide personalized tax savings recommendations and identify relevant H&R Block products
• Provide IRS support, tax notice assistance, and audit guidance as needed
