H&R Block is seeking a seasonal, experienced Tax Professional to serve a diverse client base with advanced tax training. You will interview clients using in-person and virtual tools and prepare accurate returns while growing the business through added services.

This role emphasizes mentorship, strong communication, and adherence to IRS/state requirements, working in a dynamic environment during tax season.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field.
• CPA or Enrolled Agent certification.
• Experience completing complex returns (individual, trust, partnership).
• 5+ years of experience in accounting, finance, bookkeeping or tax.
• Experience conducting virtual tax interviews.
• Experience with tax planning and audit support.
• Sales and/or marketing experience.

Responsibilities

• Conduct tax interviews with clients face to face and through virtual tools – video, phone, chat, email
• Prepare complete and accurate tax returns
• Generate business growth, increase client retention, and offer additional products and services
• Provide clients with IRS support
• Mentor and support teammates
