Qualifications

• Successful completion of the HR Block Tax Knowledge Assessment
• Minimum 1 year of experience in tax preparation or related fields
• Experience in client-facing, consultative roles
• Strong verbal and written communication; explain tax concepts simply
• Must complete continuing education and meet IRS/state requirements
• High school diploma or GED required

Responsibilities

• Prepare complete, accurate tax returns for diverse situations, including individuals and businesses
• Conduct in-depth client interviews to understand finances and tax implications
• Identify tax savings opportunities and promote HR Block products
• Provide IRS support, tax notice assistance, and audit guidance as needed
• Collaborate with colleagues to maintain a positive, client-focused office
