H&R Block, Inc. is seeking a seasonal Experienced Tax Professional to help clients navigate complex tax situations with confidence. You will prepare accurate tax returns, interview clients to understand financials, and identify savings opportunities, backed by leading training and technology.

This in-person role offers an hourly rate and performance incentives to reward impact as you build tax expertise. This position is based at a local H&R Block tax office and emphasizes client-focused service

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience in tax preparation, accounting, finance, or bookkeeping, including preparing individual and business returns.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to explain tax concepts in client-friendly language.
• Experience in client-facing, consultative, or advisory roles.

Responsibilities

• Prepare complete, accurate tax returns for clients with diverse and complex tax situations.
• Conduct in-depth client interviews to understand financial situations and tax implications, then provide personalized recommendations.
• Build trusted client relationships by delivering empathetic, consultative service and identifying tax savings opportunities and related products.
• Provide IRS support, tax notice assistance, and audit guidance to clients as needed.
• Collaborate with team members and contribute to a positive, client-focused office environment.
