Qualifications

• Successful completion of the HR Block Tax Knowledge Assessment
• 1 year of tax preparation/accounting/finance experience including individual and business returns
• Experience in a client-facing, consultative, or advisory role
• Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to explain tax concepts clearly
• Must complete continuing education and meet IRS/state requirements
• High school diploma or GED or equivalent required

Responsibilities

• Prepare complete, accurate tax returns for diverse and complex situations including individuals and businesses
• Conduct in-depth client interviews to understand financial situations and tax implications and provide personalized recommendations
• Build trusted client relationships through empathetic, consultative service and identify tax savings opportunities
• Provide IRS support, tax notices assistance, and audit guidance to clients as needed
• Collaborate with team members and contribute to a positive client-focused office environment
