Job summary

H&R Block is seeking a seasonal Experienced Tax Professional to help clients navigate complex tax situations and prepare accurate returns. You will interview clients, provide personalized recommendations, and deliver empathetic service while identifying tax savings opportunities.

This in-person role offers industry-leading training, competitive hourly pay, and an incentive plan. You’ll build lasting client relationships and support life cycle tax needs at a local Block office.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience in tax preparation, accounting, finance, or bookkeeping, including preparing individual and business returns.
• Experience in a client-facing, consultative, or advisory role is required.
• Must complete continuing education and meet IRS/state requirements.

Responsibilities

• Prepare complete, accurate tax returns for clients with diverse and complex situations.
• Conduct in-depth client interviews to understand financials and tax implications, then provide recommendations.
• Build trusted client relationships and identify tax savings opportunities and related H&R Block products.
• Provide IRS support, tax notice assistance, and audit guidance as needed.
• Collaborate with team members and contribute to a positive, client-focused office environment.
