Job summary

H&R Block is seeking a Seasonal Experienced Tax Professional to prepare accurate returns and advise clients in person at a local tax office in Florida. You will interview clients, identify tax savings opportunities, and support tax notices with our training and technology.

The role emphasizes client-focused service, knowledge of complex tax situations, and building lasting relationships with clients throughout the season.

Qualifications

• Must have completed the H&R Block Tax Knowledge Assessment.
• Minimum 1 year of tax preparation or related experience.
• Experience in a client-facing advisory role.
• Strong communication skills; ability to explain tax concepts clearly.
• Must meet IRS/state continuing education requirements.
• High school diploma or GED required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare complete, accurate tax returns for clients with diverse and complex tax situations, including individual and business returns.
• Conduct in-depth client interviews to understand financial situations, life changes, and tax implications, and provide personalized recommendations.
• Build trusted client relationships by delivering empathetic, consultative service and identifying tax savings opportunities and relevant H&R Block products.
• Provide IRS support, tax notice assistance, and audit guidance to clients as needed.
• Collaborate with team members, share knowledge, and contribute to a positive, client-focused office environment
