Job summary

H&R Block is seeking a seasonal Tax Associate to begin a career in tax and client services. You will meet with clients, gather information, and prepare tax returns with guidance from experienced teammates.

You will explain tax information clearly and identify smart savings opportunities, building strong client relationships while supporting office priorities. The role is in-person at a local H&R Block tax office with training and daily support, offering an hourly pay and potential raises

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Experience interacting with customers or clients in a service-oriented environment.
• Strong communication skills, including explaining information clearly and asking questions to understand needs.
• Problem-solving skills, including organizing information and identifying solutions.
• Comfort using digital tools and systems including AI-based tools like Copilot and ChatGPT.

Responsibilities

• Meet with clients to gather information and understand their tax situation.
• Prepare complete and accurate tax returns with training and support from experienced teammates.
• Explain tax information clearly and provide recommendations in a way clients can easily understand.
• Identify tax savings opportunities and recommend relevant products and services.
