Job summary

H&R Block is seeking a seasonal Tax Associate to begin a career in tax and client services—no prior tax experience required. With training from day one, you’ll work directly with clients to gather information, prepare returns, and answer questions while building valuable skills and strong client relationships.

You’ll earn a competitive hourly rate and can increase earnings as you grow in the role. This role is in-person at a local H&R Block tax office.

Qualifications

• Completed H&R Block Income Tax Course or equivalent.
• Experience interacting with customers in a service environment.
• Strong communication skills and ability to explain information clearly.
• Comfort with AI-based tools like Copilot and ChatGPT.

Responsibilities

• Meet with clients to gather information and understand their tax situation.
• Prepare complete and accurate tax returns with training and support from experienced teammates.
• Explain tax information clearly and provide recommendations in a way clients can easily understand.
• Identify tax savings opportunities and recommend relevant products and services.
• Apply problem-solving skills to analyze client information and address questions with guidance.
• Build strong client relationships and support office priorities through teamwork and a client-first approach.
