Job summary

Jackson Hewitt - 2073 is seeking a Seasonal Entry Level Tax Preparer to guide clients through tax forms and tax concepts with accuracy and care. You will conduct face-to-face interviews, complete returns, and provide IRS support while delivering friendly, clear explanations to customers.

You'll join a team that values training, a flexible schedule including day, night, weekends, and both full-time or part-time roles.

Qualifications

• Passion for extraordinary customer service.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience in a fast-paced environment.
• Basic knowledge of computer functions and math.
• Sales and/or marketing experience.
• Experience in accounting, finance, retail, bookkeeping, or tax preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field a plus.
• PTIN Certification: Yes

Responsibilities

• Conduct face-to-face tax interviews with clients.
• Prepare complete and accurate tax returns.
• Generate business growth and increase client retention.
• Provide clients with IRS audit support.
• Complete all related tax forms in accordance with policies and regulations.
• Process payments while ensuring timely deposits.
• Support marketing and business generation efforts.
• Advise clients to ensure correct tax form completion.
• Answer client calls via our national call center routing system.
• Provide future tax planning to clients.
• Resolve client complaints or refer to supervisor as appropriate.
• Collaborate with the office team to support priorities.
