Job summary

Dallasact is seeking a seasonal, temporary, part-time clerical worker in the Tax Office, located at 500 Elm Street, Dallas, TX 75202. Responsibilities include processing mail, researching accounts, and communicating with taxpayers during the Dec–Mar tax season.

Qualified candidates will have a high school diploma or GED and 2 years of related experience or 30 college hours. Typing 30 wpm, 60 keystrokes per minute, and MS Excel/Word skills are required, with potential tests.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required with 2 years of related experience or 30 college hours.
• Strong data entry skills (60 keystrokes per minute) and typing accuracy.
• Experience in a customer service environment is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Receive, prepare, verify and process a variety of documents, bills, payments and receipts.
• Input data to complete routine correspondence, forms, reports and documents.
• Research, locate and prepare documents and data as assigned.
• Answer routine inquiries and resolve basic customer service issues.
• Input, update and reconcile data, funds or inventory and maintain filing/storage.
