Job summary

H&R Block is seeking an Experienced Tax Professional for seasonal work in-person at a local tax office. You will prepare complete and accurate tax returns for individuals and businesses, interview clients to assess tax implications, and offer personalized recommendations to optimize savings.

You will build lasting client relationships through empathetic, consultative service while leveraging leading training and technology.

Qualifications

Minimum 1 year of experience in tax preparation or related fields (individual and business returns).
Experience in client-facing, consultative, or advisory roles.
Must complete IRS CE and state requirements.
Successful completion of H&R Block Tax Knowledge Assessment.
High school diploma or GED or equivalent.

Responsibilities

Prepare complete, accurate tax returns for clients with diverse and complex tax situations, including individual and business returns.
Conduct in-depth client interviews to understand financial situations, life changes, and tax implications, then provide recommendations.
Build trusted client relationships by delivering empathetic, consultative service and identifying tax savings opportunities and H&R Block products.
Provide IRS support, tax notice assistance, and audit guidance to clients as needed.
Collaborate with team members, share knowledge, and contribute to a positive, client-focused office environment.
