Job summary

H&R Block is hiring a seasonal Tax Associate to join our in-person team at a Wisconsin tax office. You’ll meet with clients, gather information, and prepare tax returns with guidance from experienced teammates.

You’ll explain tax details clearly and recommend relevant services to help clients maximize savings. No prior tax experience is required; training is provided and performance builds earnings through knowledge and results.

Qualifications

• Completion of the H&R Block Income Tax Course.
• Experience interacting with customers or clients in a service-oriented environment.
• Strong communication skills and ability to explain information clearly.
• Problem-solving skills and ability to organize information.
• Comfort using digital tools and AI-based tools like Copilot and ChatGPT.
• High school diploma or GED/equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Meet with clients to gather information and understand their tax situation.
• Prepare complete and accurate tax returns with training and support from experienced teammates.
• Explain tax information clearly and provide recommendations in an understandable way.
• Identify tax savings opportunities and recommend relevant products and services.
• Address questions or unique situations with guidance and available resources.
• Build strong client relationships and support office priorities through teamwork and a client-first approach.
