Job summary

H&R Block, Inc. is hiring a seasonal Tax Associate to work in-person at a local H&R Block tax office. You’ll gather client information, prepare tax returns with support, and explain tax details in an easy-to-understand way while identifying savings opportunities.

No prior tax experience is required as training is provided and you’ll build skills and strong client relationships during the tax season, earning with an hourly rate and opportunities to grow your earnings as you gain knowledge.

Qualifications

• Experience interacting with customers in a service-oriented environment.
• Strong communication skills, including explaining information clearly.
• Problem-solving skills with the ability to organize information and identify solutions.
• Comfort using digital tools and systems, including AI-based tools like Copilot and ChatGPT.

Responsibilities

• Meet with clients to gather information and understand their tax situation.
• Prepare complete and accurate tax returns with training and support from experienced teammates.
• Explain tax information clearly and provide recommendations clients can understand.
• Identify tax savings opportunities and recommend relevant products and services.
• Address questions or unique situations with guidance and available resources.
• Build strong client relationships and support office priorities through teamwork and a client-first approach.
