Job summary

H&R Block is hiring a seasonal Tax Associate to work in-person at a local tax office. No prior tax experience is required, as training and support start from day one. You will meet with clients, collect information, and prepare returns with guidance from experienced teammates.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of the HR Block Income Tax Course or equivalent
• Experience interacting with customers in a service-oriented environment
• Strong communication skills and the ability to explain information clearly
• Problem-solving skills with the ability to address questions and find solutions
• Comfort using digital tools and systems, including AI-based tools like Copilot and ChatGPT
• High school diploma / GED or equivalent

Responsibilities

• Meet with clients to gather information and understand their tax situation
• Prepare complete and accurate tax returns with training and support from experienced teammates
• Explain tax information clearly and provide recommendations in a way clients can easily understand
• Identify tax savings opportunities and recommend relevant products and services
• Apply problem-solving skills to analyze client information and address questions or unique situations with guidance
• Build strong client relationships and support office priorities through teamwork and a client-first approach
