Job summary

H&R Block in Wisconsin is seeking a Seasonal Tax Associate to meet with clients, gather information, and prepare tax returns with training and support from experienced teammates. You’ll help clients understand their tax situation and identify potential savings opportunities in a friendly, in-person office setting.

No prior tax experience is required; we provide day-one training and ongoing support. You’ll earn a competitive hourly rate and have opportunities to grow as you build tax knowledge

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Experience interacting with customers in a service environment.
• Strong communication and asking questions to understand needs.
• Problem-solving and organizing information.
• Comfort using digital tools including AI-based assistants like Copilot and ChatGPT.

Responsibilities

• Meet with clients to gather information and understand their tax situation.
• Prepare complete and accurate tax returns with training and support from experienced teammates.
• Explain tax information clearly and provide recommendations clients can understand.
• Identify tax savings opportunities and recommend relevant products and services.
• Apply problem-solving skills to analyze client information and address questions with guidance.
• Build strong client relationships and support office priorities through teamwork.
