Job summary

H&R Block, Inc. is seeking a seasonal Tax Associate in Utah to assist clients with information gathering and tax return preparation, supported by training from day one. This in-person role takes place at a local H&R Block tax office during tax season.

You will meet with clients, gather tax details, explain information clearly, identify savings opportunities, and build lasting relationships while collaborating with the team to support office priorities.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of the H&R Block Income Tax Course
• Experience interacting with customers or clients in a service-oriented environment
• Strong communication skills, including explaining information clearly and asking questions to understand needs
• Problem-solving skills, including organizing information and identifying solutions
• Comfort using digital tools and systems including AI based tools like Copilot and ChatGPT
• High school diploma / GED/ equivalent

Responsibilities

• Meet with clients to gather information and understand their tax situation
• Prepare complete and accurate tax returns with training and support from experienced teammates
• Explain tax information clearly and provide recommendations in a way clients can easily understand
• Identify tax savings opportunities and recommend relevant products and services
• Apply problem-solving skills to analyze client information and address questions or unique situations with guidance and available resources
• Build strong client relationships and support office priorities through teamwork, collaboration, and a client-first approach
