Job summary

H&R Block is hiring a seasonal Tax Associate to meet with clients, gather information, and prepare tax returns with guidance from experienced teammates.

You will explain tax concepts, identify savings opportunities, and build strong client relationships while supporting office priorities. This in-person role requires a high school diploma or equivalent and offers training and a competitive hourly rate.

Qualifications

• Completion of the H&R Block Income Tax Course.
• Experience interacting with customers or clients in a service-oriented environment.
• Strong communication skills, including explaining information clearly and asking questions to understand needs.
• Problem-solving and organizing information to identify solutions.
• Comfort using digital tools and AI-based tools like Copilot and ChatGPT.
• High school diploma / GED or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Meet with clients to gather information and understand their tax situation.
• Prepare complete and accurate tax returns with training and support from experienced teammates.
• Explain tax information clearly and provide recommendations in an understandable way.
• Identify tax savings opportunities and recommend relevant products and services.
• Apply problem-solving to analyze client information and address questions with guidance and resources.
• Build strong client relationships and support office priorities through teamwork and a client-first approach.
