Job summary

H&R Block is hiring a Seasonal Tax Associate to join our local tax office. No prior tax experience is required, as training and support are provided from day one. You’ll meet with clients, gather information, prepare returns, and answer questions while building strong client relationships.

You will work in-person at a local H&R Block tax office, with opportunities to increase earnings as you gain tax knowledge. Evening/weekend availability may be required during tax season.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of the H&R Block Income Tax Course.
• Experience interacting with customers or clients in a service environment.
• Strong communication skills and ability to explain information clearly.
• Problem-solving skills and ability to organize information.
• Comfort using digital tools and AI-based tools like Copilot and ChatGPT.
• High school diploma / GED.

Responsibilities

• Meet with clients to gather information and understand their tax situation.
• Prepare complete and accurate tax returns with training and support from experienced teammates.
• Explain tax information clearly and provide recommendations in a way clients can easily understand.
• Identify tax savings opportunities and recommend relevant products and services.
• Apply problem-solving skills to analyze client information and address questions or unique situations with guidance and available resources.
• Build strong client relationships and support office priorities through teamwork, collaboration, and a client-first approach.
