H&R Block, Inc. is seeking a seasonal Tax Associate to join a local tax office in Texas. You will work directly with clients to gather information, prepare tax returns, and answer questions with training from day one.

This in-person role offers a competitive hourly rate with opportunities to increase earnings as you build tax knowledge. Availability may be required evenings and weekends during peak periods.

Qualifications

• Experience interacting with customers or clients in a service-oriented environment
• Strong communication skills, including explaining information clearly and asking questions to understand needs
• Problem-solving skills, including organizing information and identifying solutions
• Comfort using digital tools and systems including AI-based tools like Copilot and ChatGPT
• High school diploma / GED / equivalent

Responsibilities

• Meet with clients to gather information and understand their tax situation
• Prepare complete and accurate tax returns with training and support from experienced teammates
• Explain tax information clearly and provide recommendations in a way clients can easily understand
• Identify tax savings opportunities and recommend relevant products and services
• Apply problem-solving skills to analyze client information and address questions or unique situations with guidance and available resources
• Build strong client relationships and support office priorities through teamwork, collaboration, and a client-first approach
