Job summary

H&R Block, Inc. is seeking a seasonal Tax Associate to work in-person at a local tax office in Kuna, Idaho. You’ll gather client information, prepare returns, and answer questions with structured training and teammate support.

You’ll grow your tax knowledge and client relationships while earning an hourly rate. Applicants should be comfortable with customer service, strong communication, and problem solving, plus using digital tools including AI-based assistants.

Qualifications

• Experience in a service environment or with customers
• Strong communication and questioning to understand needs
• Familiarity with digital tools and systems incl. AI-based tools like Copilot and ChatGPT
• High school diploma or equivalent

Responsibilities

• Meet with clients to gather information and understand their tax situation
• Prepare complete and accurate tax returns with training and support
• Explain tax information clearly and provide client-ready recommendations
• Identify tax savings opportunities and suggest relevant products/services
• Address client questions with guidance and available resources
• Support office priorities through teamwork and client-first approach
