Job summary

H&R Block, Inc. is seeking a seasonal Tax Associate to join our in-person tax offices in Idaho. You will work directly with clients to gather information, prepare tax returns, and answer questions, with comprehensive training from day one.

You will meet clients, explain tax information clearly, and identify savings opportunities while building strong client relationships in a collaborative, client-first environment. Training and support are provided throughout tax season.

Qualifications

Completed HR Block Income Tax Course or equivalent tax training.
Experience interacting with customers in a service environment.
Strong communication skills and ability to explain information clearly.
Problem-solving skills and ability to organize information.
Comfort using digital tools and AI-based tools like Copilot and ChatGPT.
High school diploma or GED.

Responsibilities

Meet with clients to gather information and understand tax situations.
Prepare complete and accurate tax returns with training from teammates.
Explain tax information clearly and provide recommendations.
Identify tax savings opportunities and suggest relevant products and services.
Address questions and unique situations with guidance and available resources.
Build strong client relationships and support office priorities through teamwork.
