Job summary

H&R Block is seeking a Seasonal Tax Associate to join our local tax office. You will work directly with clients to gather information, prepare returns, and answer questions, gaining tax knowledge and building client relationships.

Training and support are provided on day one, with opportunities to increase earnings as you grow in the role. This in-person position requires strong communication and problem-solving skills, and a willingness to use digital tools to assist clients.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience interacting with customers or clients in a service-oriented environment preferred.
• Good communication skills and ability to explain information clearly.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and organized approach to information.
• Comfort using digital tools and systems including AI-based tools like Copilot and ChatGPT.

Responsibilities

• Meet with clients to gather information and understand their tax situation.
• Prepare complete and accurate tax returns with training and support from experienced teammates.
• Explain tax information clearly and provide recommendations in an easily understandable way.
• Identify tax savings opportunities and recommend relevant products and services.
• Analyze client information and address questions or unique situations with guidance and available resources.
• Build strong client relationships and support office priorities through teamwork and a client-first approach.
