Job summary

H&R Block in Colorado Springs is hiring a Seasonal Tax Associate to work in-person at a local tax office. You’ll gather client information, prepare tax returns, and answer questions with training from day one, earning an hourly rate with opportunities to grow as you gain tax knowledge.

You will meet with clients, leverage digital tools including AI aids, and collaborate with teammates to deliver accurate results and great service during peak periods.

Qualifications

• Completion of the H&R Block Income Tax Course 1.
• Experience interacting with customers in a service-oriented environment.
• Strong communication skills, including explaining information clearly and asking questions to understand needs.
• Problem-solving skills, including organizing information and identifying solutions.
• Comfort using digital tools and systems including AI-based tools like Copilot and ChatGPT.
• High school diploma / GED or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Meet with clients to gather information and understand their tax situation.
• Prepare complete and accurate tax returns with training and support from experienced teammates.
• Explain tax information clearly and provide recommendations in a way clients can easily understand.
• Identify tax savings opportunities and recommend relevant products and services.
• Apply problem-solving skills to analyze client information and address questions or unique situations with guidance and resources.
• Build strong client relationships and support office priorities through teamwork and a client-first approach.
