Job summary

H&R Block is hiring a seasonal Tax Associate to meet with clients, gather information, and prepare tax returns with training from experienced teammates.

You’ll explain tax information clearly, offer recommendations, and identify savings opportunities, while building strong client relationships through teamwork and a client-first approach.

This is an in-person role at a local H&R Block tax office with hourly pay and growth opportunities as tax knowledge increases.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of HR Block tax courses or equivalent training.
• Experience interacting with customers in service environments.
• Strong communication and questioning skills to understand client needs.
• Comfort using digital tools and systems.

Responsibilities

• Meet with clients to gather information and understand their tax situation.
• Prepare complete tax returns with training and support from teammates.
• Explain tax information clearly and provide client-friendly recommendations.
• Identify tax savings opportunities and recommend products and services.
• Address questions with guidance and available resources.
• Build client relationships and support office priorities through teamwork.
