Job summary

H&R Block is hiring a Seasonal Tax Associate to help clients gather information, prepare returns, and answer questions in person at a local tax office. No prior tax experience required; full training and ongoing support are provided to build tax knowledge and client relationships.

With a competitive hourly pay range and opportunities to increase earnings during tax season, you will work with a team to deliver accurate tax services and guidance while developing valuable client-service skills.

Qualifications

• Experience in customer-facing or service environment is preferred.
• Strong communication and ability to explain information clearly.
• Problem-solving and organizing information to identify solutions.
• Comfort using digital tools and systems including AI tools like Copilot and ChatGPT.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.

Responsibilities

• Meet with clients to gather information and understand their tax situation.
• Prepare complete and accurate tax returns with training and support from experienced teammates.
• Explain tax information clearly and provide recommendations to clients.
• Identify tax savings opportunities and recommend relevant products and services.
• Address client questions and unique situations with guidance and resources.
• Build strong client relationships and support office priorities through teamwork.
