Job summary

H&R Block, Inc. is hiring a seasonal Tax Associate to join a local tax office in Minnesota. No prior tax experience required, with training and support from day one.

You’ll assist clients, prepare returns, and learn through hands-on guidance while earning an hourly wage of $14.45–$18.00. In this in-person, client-facing role, you’ll meet with clients, explain tax information clearly, identify savings opportunities, and build lasting relationships.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED/equivalent required.
• Experience interacting with customers in a service setting.
• Strong communication and problem-solving abilities.
• Comfort with digital tools and AI-based tools such as Copilot and ChatGPT.

Responsibilities

• Meet with clients to gather information and understand their tax situation.
• Prepare complete and accurate tax returns with training and support from experienced teammates.
• Explain tax information clearly and provide recommendations clients can understand.
• Identify tax savings opportunities and recommend relevant products and services.
• Apply problem-solving skills to analyze client information and address questions with guidance.
• Build strong client relationships and support office priorities through teamwork.
