Job summary

H&R Block in Tennessee is seeking a seasonal Tax Associate to begin a career in tax and client services. With training from day one, you’ll work with clients to gather information, prepare returns, and answer questions while building client relationships.

This in-person role offers a competitive hourly rate. You will meet with clients, prepare tax returns with guidance, explain tax information clearly, identify savings opportunities, and support office priorities through teamwork during tax

Qualifications

• Experience in customer-facing or service-oriented environment.
• Strong communication skills and ability to explain information clearly.
• Problem-solving and ability to organize information to identify solutions.
• Comfort using digital tools and systems including AI-based tools like Copilot and ChatGPT.
• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Meet with clients to gather information and understand their tax situation.
• Prepare complete and accurate tax returns with training and support from experienced teammates.
• Explain tax information clearly and provide recommendations.
• Identify tax savings opportunities and recommend relevant products and services.
• Address questions or unique situations with guidance and resources.
• Build strong client relationships and support office priorities through teamwork.
