Job summary

H&R Block is seeking a seasonal Tax Associate to help clients with tax preparation and support. You’ll meet with clients, gather information, prepare returns, and answer questions with training from day one. This in-person role offers competitive hourly pay and growth opportunities as you build tax knowledge.

No prior tax experience is required; you’ll receive training and work with experienced teammates to provide accurate tax filings and excellent client service at a local tax office.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of required HR Block training or course.
• Experience interacting with customers in a service environment.
• Strong communication and question-asking to understand needs.
• Comfort using digital tools including AI-based assistants.
• High school diploma or GED equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Meet with clients to gather information and understand their tax situation.
• Prepare complete and accurate tax returns with training and support.
• Explain tax information clearly and provide recommendations.
• Identify tax savings opportunities and advise on products/services.
• Analyze client information and address questions with available resources.
• Build strong client relationships and support office priorities.
