Job summary

H&R Block, Inc. is hiring a seasonal Tax Associate for a local Kentucky tax office.

You’ll meet with clients, gather information, and begin preparing tax returns with training and support from experienced teammates. No prior tax experience is required; you'll earn an hourly rate with opportunities to increase earnings as you gain tax knowledge, and occasional evenings/weekends during peak season may be needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience in customer service or client interactions.
• Strong communication and ability to explain information clearly.
• Problem-solving and ability to organize information.
• Comfort using digital tools including Copilot and ChatGPT.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Meet with clients to gather information and understand their tax situation.
• Prepare complete and accurate tax returns with training and support from experienced teammates.
• Explain tax information clearly and provide recommendations in a way clients can easily understand.
• Identify tax savings opportunities and recommend relevant products and services.
• Apply problem-solving skills to analyze client information and address questions or unique situations with guidance and available resources.
• Build strong client relationships and support office priorities through teamwork, collaboration, and a client-first approach.
