H&R Block, Inc. is seeking a seasonal Tax Associate in Ohio to help clients prepare returns and learn tax fundamentals. You’ll meet with clients, gather information, and apply guidance from experienced teammates in a supportive, in-person office environment.

No prior tax experience is required; comprehensive training, ongoing coaching, and access to AI-assisted tools will help you grow your tax knowledge and client-service skills during the season.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of the H&R Block Income Tax Course
• Experience interacting with customers in a service environment
• Strong communication skills and ability to explain information
• Problem-solving skills with ability to organize information
• Comfort using digital tools and AI-based tools like Copilot and ChatGPT
• High school diploma or equivalent

Responsibilities

• Meet with clients to gather information and understand their tax situation
• Prepare complete and accurate tax returns with training and support from experienced teammates
• Explain tax information clearly and provide recommendations in a way clients can easily understand
• Identify tax savings opportunities and recommend relevant products and services
• Apply problem-solving skills to analyze client information and address questions or unique situations with guidance and available resources
• Build strong client relationships and support office priorities through teamwork, collaboration, and a client-first approach
