Job summary

H&R Block is seeking a Seasonal Tax Associate to join our in-person tax office. You’ll meet with clients, gather information, and prepare tax returns with guidance from experienced teammates, building confidence and client relationships throughout the season.

With training from day one, you’ll learn tax concepts, identify savings opportunities, and explain information clearly while supporting office priorities and delivering a client-first experience.

Qualifications

• Completed H&R Block Income Tax Course.
• Experience in customer service.
• Strong communication, including explaining information clearly and asking questions to understand needs.
• Problem-solving, including organizing information and identifying solutions.
• Comfort using AI-based tools like Copilot and ChatGPT.
• High school diploma or GED/ equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Meet with clients to gather information and understand their tax situation.
• Prepare complete and accurate tax returns with training and support from experienced teammates.
• Explain tax information clearly and provide recommendations in a way clients can easily understand.
• Identify tax savings opportunities and recommend relevant products and services.
• Apply problem-solving skills to analyze client information and address questions or unique situations with guidance and available resources.
• Build strong client relationships and support office priorities through teamwork, collaboration, and a client-first approach.
