Job summary

H&R Block is seeking a seasonal Tax Associate to join our in-person tax office. You will meet with clients, collect information, and prepare complete tax returns with support from experienced teammates.

You’ll explain tax concepts clearly, identify savings opportunities, and provide tailored recommendations while building strong client relationships. No prior tax experience is required; training is provided and opportunities to increase earnings grow with tax knowledge and performance.

Qualifications

• Strong communication and customer service experience.
• Ability to gather information and explain tax concepts clearly.
• Comfort using digital tools and AI-based tools.

Responsibilities

• Meet with clients to gather information and understand their tax situation
• Prepare complete and accurate tax returns with training and support from experienced teammates
• Explain tax information clearly and provide recommendations in a way clients can easily understand
• Identify tax savings opportunities and recommend relevant products and services
• Apply problem-solving skills to analyze client information and address questions or unique situations with guidance and available resources
• Build strong client relationships and support office priorities through teamwork, collaboration, and a client-first approach
