H&R Block, Inc. is seeking a Seasonal Tax Associate in a local tax office to help gather information, prepare returns, and answer questions for clients.

You will learn on the job with support from experienced teammates and have opportunities to increase earnings as you build tax knowledge. The role is in-person at a local H&R Block tax office, offering on-site collaboration, client interaction, and training from day one.

Qualifications

• Completion of the H&R Block Income Tax Course or equivalent tax coursework.
• Experience interacting with customers in a service-oriented environment.
• Strong communication; ability to explain concepts clearly and ask clarifying questions.
• Problem-solving skills with the ability to organize information and identify solutions.
• Comfort using digital tools and systems, including AI-based tools like Copilot and ChatGPT.
• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Meet with clients to gather information and understand their tax situation.
• Prepare complete and accurate tax returns with training and support from experienced teammates.
• Explain tax information clearly and provide recommendations in a client-friendly manner.
• Identify tax savings opportunities and recommend relevant products and services.
• Apply problem-solving skills to address questions or unique situations with guidance and resources.
• Build strong client relationships and support office priorities through teamwork and client-first approach.
