H&R Block, Inc. is seeking a seasonal Tax Associate to help clients with tax preparation and questions. You’ll receive training from day one and work in-person at a local tax office, meeting clients, gathering information, and preparing returns with guidance.

We value strong communication, customer service experience, and the ability to explain tax concepts clearly. Hours vary, including evenings and peak periods during tax season.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED (or equivalent) required.
• Completion of H&R Block Income Tax Course 1 required.
• Experience in a service environment is preferred.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Comfort using digital tools including AI-based tools like Copilot and ChatGPT.

Responsibilities

• Meet with clients to gather information and understand their tax situation.
• Prepare complete and accurate tax returns with training and support from experienced teammates.
• Explain tax information clearly and provide recommendations.
• Identify tax savings opportunities and recommend relevant products and services.
• Address questions or unique situations with guidance and available resources.
• Build strong client relationships and support office priorities through teamwork.
