Job summary

H&R Block is seeking a seasonal Tax Associate in Arizona. You’ll begin a career in tax and client services—no prior tax experience required. With training and support from day one, you’ll work directly with clients to gather information, prepare tax returns, and answer questions while building valuable skills and client relationships.

This role is in-person at a local H&R Block tax office. Meet with clients, prepare returns with training, explain tax information clearly, identify savings

Qualifications

• Customer service experience in a service-oriented environment.
• Strong communication, explaining information clearly and asking questions.
• Problem-solving skills, organizing information and identifying solutions.
• Comfort using digital tools including AI-based tools like Copilot and ChatGPT.
• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Meet with clients to gather information and understand their tax situation.
• Prepare complete and accurate tax returns with training and support.
• Explain tax information clearly and provide recommendations.
• Identify tax savings opportunities and recommend relevant products and services.
• Apply problem-solving skills to analyze client information and address questions.
• Build strong client relationships through teamwork and a client-first approach.
