Job summary

H&R Block, Inc. is seeking a seasonal Tax Associate to work in-person at a local tax office. You will meet with clients, gather information, prepare tax returns with guidance, and explain tax concepts.

Training and support are provided to help you build client relationships and grow in the role. Successful candidates will have strong communication and problem-solving skills, experience in customer service, and comfort using digital tools.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of the H&R Block Income Tax Course or equivalent training
• Experience interacting with customers or clients in a service-oriented environment
• Strong communication skills, including explaining information clearly and asking questions to understand needs
• Problem-solving skills, including organizing information and identifying solutions
• Comfort using digital tools and systems including AI-based tools like Copilot and ChatGPT
• High school diploma / GED or equivalent

Responsibilities

• Meet with clients to gather information and understand their tax situation
• Prepare complete and accurate tax returns with training and support
• Explain tax information clearly and provide recommendations
• Identify tax savings opportunities and recommend relevant products and services
• Apply problem-solving skills to analyze client information and address questions
• Build strong client relationships and support office priorities through teamwork
