Job summary

H&R Block is hiring a Seasonal Tax Associate to join a local tax office and work directly with clients to gather information and prepare accurate tax returns with guidance from experienced teammates. Qualifications

• Successful completion of the H&R Block Income Tax Course
• Experience interacting with customers in a service environment
• Strong communication skills, including explaining information clearly
• Problem-solving skills, including organizing information and identifying solutions
• Comfort using digital tools and systems including AI-based tools like Copilot and ChatGPT
• High school diploma / GED / equivalent

Responsibilities

• Meet with clients to gather information and understand their tax situation
• Prepare complete and accurate tax returns with training and support from experienced teammates
• Explain tax information clearly and provide recommendations in a way clients can easily understand
• Identify tax savings opportunities and recommend relevant products and services
• Analyze client information and address questions or unique situations with guidance
• Build strong client relationships and support office priorities through teamwork and a client-first approach
