Job summary

H&R Block, Inc. is seeking a seasonal Tax Associate to join a local tax office. You’ll collect client information, prepare returns, and explain tax details while helping clients optimize savings. Training is provided and collaboration with experienced teammates supports your growth.

The role is in-person, with hours aligned to tax season, and offers an opportunity to build client relationships and gain practical tax knowledge in a supportive environment.

Qualifications

• Completion of the H&R Block Income Tax Course.
• Experience interacting with customers in a service environment.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Comfort using digital tools including Copilot and ChatGPT.
• High school diploma or GED.

Responsibilities

• Meet with clients to gather information and understand their tax situation
• Prepare complete and accurate tax returns with training and support from experienced teammates
• Explain tax information clearly and provide recommendations in a way clients can easily understand
• Identify tax savings opportunities and recommend relevant products and services
• Apply problem-solving skills to analyze client information and address questions or unique situations with guidance and available resources
• Build strong client relationships and support office priorities through teamwork, collaboration, and a client-first approach
