H&R Block, Inc. is seeking a seasonal Tax Associate to start a career in tax and client services with training from day one. You’ll meet with clients, gather information, prepare tax returns, and build essential skills and relationships under guidance.

This in-person role in Texas offers a competitive hourly rate with opportunities to increase earnings as you gain tax knowledge. Availability during peak season and evenings/weekends is preferred.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of the H&R Block Income Tax Course.
• Experience interacting with customers or clients in a service-oriented environment.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Comfort using digital tools including Copilot and ChatGPT.
• High school diploma / GED or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Meet with clients to gather information and understand their tax situation.
• Prepare complete and accurate tax returns with training and support from experienced teammates.
• Explain tax information clearly and provide recommendations in a way clients can easily understand.
• Identify tax savings opportunities and recommend relevant products and services.
• Apply problem-solving skills to analyze client information and address questions or unique situations with guidance and available resources.
• Build strong client relationships and support office priorities through teamwork, collaboration, and a client-first approach.
