H&R Block is seeking a seasonal Tax Associate to help clients with tax returns and questions. No prior tax experience required; training and support are provided from day one. You’ll gather information, prepare returns, and explain tax options to clients in clear terms.

This in-person role at a local tax office offers hours between 15–35 per week, with up to 40 hours during peak periods. Strong communication, problem‑solving, and comfort with digital tools are important.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of the H&R Block Income Tax Course
• Experience interacting with customers or clients in a service-oriented environment
• Strong communication skills, including explaining information clearly and asking questions to understand needs
• Problem-solving skills, including organizing information and identifying solutions
• Comfort using digital tools and systems including AI-based tools like Copilot and ChatGPT

Responsibilities

• Meet with clients to gather information and understand their tax situation
• Prepare complete and accurate tax returns with training and support from experienced teammates
• Explain tax information clearly and provide recommendations in a way clients can easily understand
• Identify tax savings opportunities and recommend relevant products and services
• Apply problem-solving skills to analyze client information and address questions or unique situations with guidance and available resources
• Build strong client relationships and support office priorities through teamwork, collaboration, and a client-first approach
