Job summary

H&R Block, Inc. is hiring a Seasonal Tax Associate for an in-person role at a local tax office. No prior tax experience is required, as training and support are provided from day one.

You will gather information, prepare tax returns, and answer client questions while building essential client relationships. You’ll earn a competitive hourly rate with opportunities to increase earnings as you grow tax knowledge.

Qualifications

• Strong communication skills, including explaining information clearly and asking questions to understand needs.
• Problem solving, organizing information and identifying solutions.
• Comfort using digital tools and systems including AI-based tools like Copilot and ChatGPT.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.

Responsibilities

• Meet with clients to gather information and understand their tax situation
• Prepare complete and accurate tax returns with training and support from experienced teammates
• Explain tax information clearly and provide recommendations in a way clients can easily understand
• Identify tax savings opportunities and recommend relevant products and services
• Apply problem-solving skills to analyze client information and address questions with guidance
• Build strong client relationships and support office priorities through teamwork and a client-first approach
