Job summary

H&R Block, Inc. is seeking a seasonal Tax Associate in Alabama. You’ll help clients gather information, prepare returns, and answer questions with training and support from day one. This in-person role offers an hourly rate and opportunities to grow as you gain tax knowledge.

No prior tax experience is required; a high school diploma is sufficient. You’ll work 15–35 hours per week, with peak-season hours including evenings and weekends, in a local office.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Meet with clients to gather information and understand their tax situation.
• Prepare complete and accurate tax returns with training and support from experienced teammates.
• Explain tax information clearly and provide recommendations in a way clients can easily understand.
• Identify tax savings opportunities and recommend relevant products and services.
• Apply problem-solving skills to analyze client information and address questions.
• Build strong client relationships and support office priorities through teamwork.
