Job summary

H&R Block, Inc. seeks a seasonal Tax Associate to work in-person at a local tax office. You’ll gather client information, prepare tax returns, and answer questions with training from day one. Earn an hourly wage with opportunities to increase as tax knowledge grows, in a hands-on, client-focused environment.

No prior tax experience is required; training supports you as you build skills and client relationships during tax season.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent required.
• Experience interacting with customers in service environments.
• Strong communication and problem-solving abilities.
• Comfort using digital tools including AI-based assistants.

Responsibilities

• Meet with clients to gather information and understand tax situations.
• Prepare complete and accurate tax returns with guidance.
• Explain tax information clearly and offer recommendations.
• Identify tax savings opportunities and relevant products.
• Analyze client information and address questions with guidance.
• Build client relationships and support office priorities as a team.
